Detect & Locate
Identify and geolocate cellular devices for missing persons, mass casualty events, and disaster response.
Croix International turns every mobile phone into a rescue beacon, even when the cell network is down. Detect, locate, and communicate from the air, ground, or sea, then put it on every responder's screen.
Hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, and avalanches take down the networks searchers rely on. Remote terrain never had coverage to begin with. But the missing person's phone is still out there, still searching for a signal.
ARTEMIS gives it one. It acts as a self-contained cellular network, so phones connect to it automatically and show up on the operator's map. No towers, no carrier, no guesswork.
Verifiable range, depending on altitude and terrain.
Detect, locate and communicate with thousands of devices.
Fully independent of existing network infrastructure.
T-U is airborne-qualified to RTCA DO-160G.
Figures from Smith Myers ARTEMIS datasheets. Actual results vary with altitude, terrain, platform and device.
ARTEMIS does more than find a phone. It maps entire populations, talks to them, and feeds the picture to every team in the response.
Identify and geolocate cellular devices for missing persons, mass casualty events, and disaster response.
Map thousands of devices to find densely populated areas and prioritize where teams go first.
Broadcast SMS with critical information, safety routes, and resources to affected populations.
Integrate with ATAK and other systems for real-time situational awareness and coordination.
Aerial, ground, and maritime configurations for urban density or rural expanse.
ARTEMIS sweeps the area from the air and every powered-on phone answers, even with the towers down. Each one becomes a point on the operator's map.
From a small drone to a patrol aircraft, a backpack or a response vehicle, every ARTEMIS system detects, identifies, locates and communicates with mobile phones. The airborne systems reach beyond 30 km and are qualified to RTCA DO-160G, and Croix integrates each one with the platforms you already operate.

Universal carrying pod with a built-in air-to-ground link. Carries the T-U or C-A payload on drones like the DJI M300 and M350.

Lightest ARTEMIS payload. One connector for aircraft power, GPS and comms, with a carry-on role-fit case option.

Cellular geolocation plus a dual-channel maritime AIS receiver and a COSPAS-SARSAT receiver that locates emergency and personal locator beacons.

Four software-defined radios with 12 cellular bands each, plus AIS and COSPAS-SARSAT. Scale from 2 to 4 channels as the mission grows.

A modular ground system that scales with the mission. Each T-G module is a single 2G to 5G software-defined radio. Use one on its own, stack several into a multi-channel backpack, or plug the stack into the External PA Assembly in a vehicle for greater range, then dismount it back to a backpack in minutes.

Request DatasheetsThe U-POD is a lightweight, rapidly deployable payload system that puts ARTEMIS cellular geolocation on unmanned aircraft. It mounts internally or externally on a range of UAV platforms, and its integrated air-to-ground link keeps installation and deployment time to a minimum.
Carrying the T-U or C-A payload, U-POD lets operators detect, identify and locate multiple phones in a single mission, with T-U detection ranges beyond 30 km in suitable conditions.

Through our collaboration with Connectium Technologies, Croix delivers the Crisis Response Network: a secure, cloud-based environment connecting sensors, incident command, and responders in the field. Located devices flow straight into the common operating picture.
Zero-trust identity and end-to-end encryption on every application and transport path.
TAK ecosystem and common operating picture across leadership, command, and field teams.
ISPs, cellular, satellite, and mesh, so the picture survives when one link drops.
Messaging, voice, video, and file sharing built for response teams.
Controlled information sharing with partner agencies and regional responders.
From a single team to agency-wide, on the same architecture.
Croix is a U.S.-based, veteran-owned systems integrator. We work alongside your team from first conversation to sustained operation, including integration with the manned and unmanned aircraft you already fly.
